Orazio Gentileschi. A painter on a journey

From 22 November 2025 to 03 May 2026, the Sale Chiablese of the Royal Museums will host the exhibition “Orazio Gentileschi. A painter on a journey”.

Dedicated to one of the most important Italian artists of the 17th century, the exhibition focuses on the theme of travel. Gentileschi's works are placed in dialogue with the figurative contexts and artists he encountered over time, as well as his patrons and the demands of the market.

Among the most important pieces on display will be the renowned Annunciation from 1623.
