In the sign of Raffaello
The Royal Museums are hosting the exhibition "In the Sign of Raffaello" until July 17, 2022.
The exhibition is the result of an in-depth study that aimed to identify drawings, among the Italian drawings of the 1500s owned by the Royal Library of Turin, that can be traced back to Raphael's circle.
Thanks to this work, the exhibition traces about 70 years of the history of Italian drawing, starting with Perugino, one of Raffaello’s first teachers, and arriving at Giulio Romano, Parmigianino, Peruzzi, Polidoro da Caravaggio, Bandinelli and Girolamo da Carpi.
A journey inside Italian art led by one of its greatest exponents, author of such timeless works as the School of Athens and The Marriage of the Virgin.
