Magnificent Collections - Art and Power of the Genoa of the Doges

‘Magnificent Collections - Art and Power of the Genoa of the Doges’ is the new exhibition at the Reggia di Venaria from 10 April to 07 September 2025.

The exhibition project is part of the strand that explores the history, art and culture of the courts and aims to illustrate Genoa ‘la Superba’ in its golden century under the Doges.

On loan from Palazzo Spinola di Pellicceria and the National Museums of Genoa, magnificent art collections of the most important families of the Genoese patriciate, including the Doria, Balbi and Pallavicino families, will be on display.

The exhibition focuses on works from the 17th and 18th centuries: famous paintings by Van Dyck, Rubens, Gentileschi and Reni, as well as by masters of the great Genoese figurative school, stand out.
