John Constable exhibition
The exhibition of John Constable, the greatest exponent of English Romantic painting along with Joseph M. William Turner, for the first time in Italy.
The exhibition at the Reggia di Venaria has more than 50 works from sketches and small paintings made en plein air to the most important and vast Romantic landscapes.
The landscape theme is declined in a depiction of Nature as a pair: fascinating, but also awe-inspiring.
Constable's works mainly depict places emblematic for his personal history where he captures the essence of the landscape.
