Risò International Rice Festival
From 11 to 13 September 2026, the city of Vercelli and its province will host the 2nd edition of Risò – International Rice Festival.
The Festival is not just an event, but a gastronomic celebration offering a journey through the agriculture, innovation and culture behind the main local product. Piedmont’s rice fields represent a farming culture that is still very much alive and deeply rooted in the past.
For three days, the centre of Vercelli will be transformed into a large village dedicated to rice, open to families, enthusiasts and industry professionals. The programme includes tastings, exhibitions and talks on the subject, offering opportunities for cultural exploration.
To welcome visitors, seven official tours have been designed, taking in historic farmsteads, rice fields, villages, castles and places normally hidden from view. A journey through the most authentic Vercelli region – the one reflected in the rice fields, which preserves thousand-year-old manuscripts, shapes the future of agriculture and transforms every grain into a story.
