A journey along Mille Miglia

The first stage of the Mille Miglia, the famous Brescian car race, is arriving in Turin. Given the opportunity, the Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, in collaboration with the Museo Mille Miglia of Brescia, proposes the exhibition ‘A journey along the Mille Miglia’ that can be visited in the MAUTO project room.

The exhibition tells the story of the three decades of the race with a focus on the most significant years:

• 1927, date of the first edition.
• 1947, the revival after the war.
• 1957, the year of Taruffi.

The exhibition route is developed in three steps: behind the scenes with a selection of original materials, the emotion of the race with photographs and films, and the popular fascination of the race in the cinema.
