Rembrandt meets Rembrandt. Dialogues in the Gallery

Rembrandt meets Rembrandt. Dialogues in the Gallery

The Galleria Sabauda of the Musei Reali celebrates the genius of the great 17th-century Dutch art master Rembrandt with an exhibition in his honour entitled Rembrandt meets Rembrandt. Dialogues in the Gallery available in Turin until April 16, 2023.

At the centre of the exhibition idea there is La cena di Emmau from the Musée Jacquemart-André in Paris, on loan to the Musei Reali, which is compared with il Ritratto di vecchio dormiente from the Galleria Sabauda.

The selection on display has 22 works including paintings, drawings and etchings where the artist enhances details through the expressive and symbolic use of light. The display is also enhanced by a multimedia support that allows visitors to discover stories and curiosities of the person behind the face of il Ritratto di vecchio dormiente.
