Margherita di Savoia Exhibition
The Margherita di Savoia exhibition, the first Queen of United Italy, arrives in Turin until 30 January 2023.
More than 70 works of art including portraits, paintings, sculptures, dresses, jewellery, musical instruments, manuscripts, tapestries and furniture, a journey that recounts the female icon of the Casa Savoia. Margherita in fact, among other things, is remembered for having promoted and spread education and professional training focusing on women.
The works on display come from important public collections including the Musée d'Orsay and the Uffizi Galleries, while the dresses come from Mara Bertoli's private collection.
The exhibition at Palazzo Madama of Turin allows visitors to experience the portrait of a woman who was Queen between two eras and whose lively personality left a deep mark on the history of Italy.
