Montanaro Distillery: visit and tasting
Production: the experience at Montanaro Distillery starts with a visit at our artisanal production engine, including the alembics in copper and the columns of distillation. Each year at the starting of the production (from September/October to January/February) the magic begins with the transformation of marcs into clear spirits with inebriating and unique perfumes.
Ageing: we then move to our historical cellars, where Grappa is being aged in oak barrels for years. This part of the visit is one the most exciting where visitors can enjoy the unique and exceptional aroma of our aged grappa.
Tasting: our guests are then guided through a tasting of our products which suits all palates. Besides Grappa we produce Liqueurs with herbs (Chamomile, Juniper, Arquebuse), Barolo Chinato, Vermouth di Torino (White, Red, Extra Dry), Brandy, a coffee Liqueur named Chicò and a Bitter Aperitif (6 p.m.) perfect for after work, produced using all natural plant extracts. All our spirits, including Grappa, can be consumed on the rocks or in combination as basis for fresh and delightful cocktails.
Montanaro Shop: to conclude the tour at Montanaro Distillery you can choose which flavours to discover from the shelves of our beautiful shop. Besides our production we offer a fine selection of local food and wines exclusively from our grape marc suppliers.
